Joel Moskowitz, Ph.D.

Joel M. Moskowitz, Ph.D. is the Director of the Center for Family and Community Health, School of Public Health, UC Berkeley. Dr. Moskowitz has conducted research on disease prevention programs and policies for more than 30 years, most recently focusing on adverse health effects of wireless radiation.  In 2009 he served as the senior author on a hallmark paper reviewing research on mobile phone use and increased brain tumor risk published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology .  He has disseminated research related to wireless technology, public health and policy since 2009. He is an advisor to the International EMF Scientist Appeal signed by more than 250 scientists who published peer-reviewed research on EMF and biology or health.  He has published an opinion piece in Scientific American Oct 17, 2019, We Have No Reason to Believe 5G Is Safe.The technology is coming, but contrary to what some people say, there could be health risks.
